Events
The Glengarry Pioneer Museum in Dunvegan is looking forward to welcoming back members and
friends to their ever-popular potluck dinner and Annual General Meeting. The event will be held at
the Dunvegan Recreation Hall on Friday, April 10th at 6:00 pm.
The evening starts with a traditional potluck dinner, followed by brief reports to summarize the previous
year and what is to come. Guest speaker, Brenda Baxter of the Glengarry Fencibles Trust that operates the
Bishops House in St. Raphaels will speak about the progress of the Bishops House and what the future
holds for this Ontario Heritage Site. James Joyce will be awarded with the Pioneer of the year award.
Anyone interested in the activities of the Glengarry Pioneer Museum is welcome to attend the AGM, and
anyone interested in volunteering at events in the upcoming season is encouraged to get in touch with a

The Dunvegan Recreation Hall where the AGM is happening is located just west of the crossroads in
Dunvegan: 19053 County Rd.24.
DRA/MacLeod Fiddlers Foodbank Fundraiser, Saturday April
11th, 2-3:30 pm. This concert will be taking place in the DRA hall.
Admission to the concert is a donation of food or cash for the
foodbank.
Saturday Night at the Movies Saturday April 18th at 7pm.
April’s movie is “ Idiocracy” “The plot follows United States Army
librarian Joe Bauers and prostitute Rita who undergo a government
hibernation experiment and awake five hundred years later in a
dystopian anti-intellectual society. “ Truth or fiction? Bring your
comfy cushion and favorite beverage and snack. We will supply
popcorn and cookies. Entrance is free but donations to support
DRA programs are always welcome.
Community Music Jam Session, Saturday April 25th, 7 pm. Bring your own instruments. Cash
donations at the door to support DRA programs are gratefully accepted.
